Indonesian Journal of Guidance and Counseling Research (IJGCR) was first published in 2023. Until now, the journal has published articles through a double-blind peer review system and open access to disseminate the state-of-the-art knowledge in the field of Guidance and Counseling services in Schools, Family and Community. The journal is published twice a year (April, June and December). Indonesian Journal of Guidance and Counseling Research (IJGCR), Volume 1, Issue 1, June 2023 is the first edition. The management of the journal used an online system (Open Journal System / OJS). This journal is managed and published by Acedemia Edu Cendekia Indonesia.

On July 13, 2023, the Indonesian Journal of Guidance and Counseling Research (IJGCR) was registered with International Standard Serial Number (ISSN) 2988-1560 (online media). On August 09, 2023 it was registered with International Standard Serial Number (ISSN) 2988-7984 (print media) by the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN).
