Multicultural Counseling in the 21st Century: A Paradigm and Framework for Professional Counseling Services

Multicultural counseling is a new hope and paradigm in the 21st century, it is based on that multicultural counseling contributes to providing counseling services based on emphasizing cultural aspects. In this case, a school counselors needs to give ap-preciation and assessment of the culture adopted by the counselee without belittling or marginalizing his culture. This study aims to review the urgency of multicultural counseling as a new paradigm in the 21st century. The Systematic Literature Review (SLR) was used to represent the urgency of multicultural counseling services as a theoretical strength with a broad framework for counseling practice.. The SLR results outline seven discussions,, including (1) culture in the context of multicultural counseling; (2) multicultural counseling: paradigm; (3) cultural dimensions in the multicultural counseling process; (4) the competence of school counselors in multicultural counseling; (5) approaches in multicultural counseling; (6) multicultural counseling model; (7) multicultural counseling: new hopes and paradigms for the 21st century. These results have contribute as material for study both theoretically regarding the urgency of multicultural counseling as a new paradigm and counseling services in Indonesia

The Effectiveness of Group Guidance using Prezi Media to Increase Learning Motivation of High School Students

Low student learning motivation if not addressed immediately can interfere with student learning development and behavior at school, even worse it can have an impact on low student achievement. Increase energy and create excitement in student learning, which is generally more inclined to group activities. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of group guidance using prezi media to increase student motivation at SMAN 1 Alalak. The research design used experimental research.The research method used one group pre-test and post-test design. This research was conducted at SMAN 1 Alalak in 2023. The number of samples in this study was 7 students, the samples were taken using purposive sampling. Data collection using learning motivation scale. The results showed that student learning motivation before being given treatment was in the low category with 35.14 and after being given treatment with group guidance using Prezi media increased to a high category of 82.86. The conclusion shows that group guidance using Prezi media is effective in increasing students' learning motivation. This research contributes as scientific information both theoretically and practically about the role of using group guidance services using Prezi media and its effect on increasing the learning motivation of high school students

Islamic Guidance: The Influence of Religious Awareness as a Mediator in Shaping Students' Religious Behavior

The development of students' religious awareness and religious behavior goes hand in hand with their cognitive development. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of religious awareness as a moderator of religious behavior of primary school students. This type of research uses a correlation study. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Ngamprah in the 2021/2022 school year. The research sample was 80 students, the sample was taken using random sampling technique. Data collection uses a scale of religious awareness and religious behavior. Instrument validity uses the product moment formula, while instrument reliability uses the Cronbach alpha formula. Data analysis using the product moment formula. The calculated correlation coefficient (r) = 0.632 with sig which is p = 0.000. (p < 0.05), the calculation results reveal the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected, and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. The results concluded that the variables of religious awareness and religious behavior have a positive relationship and influence the formation of students' religious life The contribution of this research as novelty and scientific information related to the role of religious awareness as a mediator in shaping students' religious behavior.

The Effectiveness of Group Guidance Services Based on Banjar Oral Cultural Values to Improve Students' Politeness Behavior

Guidance and counseling are essential elements that must be implemented in the education system, group guidance services have advantages in helping student development. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of group guidance services based on Banjar oral culture in improving students' politeness behavior at SMAN 1 Alalak. This research was conducted at SMAN 1 Alalak in 2023. This study used pre experimental research with a one group pretest posttest design. Data collection used a scale of manners behavior. Data analysis using Paired Sample test. The results showed that group guidance services based on Banjar cultural values are effective in improving students' politeness behavior. The conclusion of the study shows that the value contained in Banjar oral culture is effective in improving students' politeness behavior. Group guidance can be used as a method to be given to students as a service base to support the learning process of students in schools. This research contributes as an enrichment material and scientific information related to the effectiveness of group guidance services based on Banjar oral culture in improving students' politeness behavior.

The Effectiveness of Group Counseling using Self-talk Techniques to Reduce Procrastination of Post-Earthquake Traumatic Students

Post earthquake traumatic events have many impacts on students, especially on the learning process. The increase in procrastination due to the earthquake disaster has a traumatic impact on students of SMPN 03 Cianjur, of course this must be addressed immediately so that students can return to learning properly. This study was to determine the effectiveness of group counseling using self-talk therapy techniques to reduce procrastination in the post-earthquake traumatic period for students at SMPN 03 Cianjur, Jawa Barat. This research was conducted in 2022. The research design used pre-experimental research. The research method used a one-group pretest-posttest design. Data collection uses pretest and posttest results through the procrastination scale. Data analysis using Wilcoxon signed ranks test analysis. The results show that group counseling using self talk therapy techniques can effectively reduce student procrastination in the post earthquake traumatic period. This research contributes scientific information about the effectiveness of group counseling using self talk therapy techniques effective in reducing student procrastination in the post-earthquake traumatic period.
